Financial Services Provider Disclosure

Mandatory FAIS disclosure regarding our authorisation, services, and regulatory status.

Solomon Wealth Management is an authorised Financial Services Provider in terms of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 37 of 2002 (FAIS Act), FSP number 51522. We are authorised to render financial advisory and intermediary services within the categories and product subcategories reflected on our FSCA licence. A copy of our licence is available on request.

Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) Policy

Our commitment to the six TCF outcomes set by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority.

We are committed to the six Treating Customers Fairly outcomes: (1) clients are confident they are dealing with a firm where fair treatment is central to the culture; (2) products and services are designed to meet the needs of identified client groups; (3) clients are given clear information before, during and after the point of advice; (4) advice is suitable and takes account of client circumstances; (5) products perform as clients have been led to expect; and (6) clients do not face unreasonable post-sale barriers to change product, switch provider, submit a claim or make a complaint.

Conflict of Interest Management Policy

How we identify, avoid, disclose and mitigate actual or potential conflicts of interest.

In line with the FAIS General Code of Conduct, we maintain a Conflict of Interest Management Policy designed to identify, avoid where reasonably possible, and otherwise mitigate and disclose any conflict of interest. We do not accept any financial interest from a product supplier other than commission authorised under the Long-Term Insurance Act or fees agreed with the client in writing. A copy of the full policy and our register of associates is available on request.

Risk Management Plan

Our framework for identifying, measuring, monitoring and mitigating operational and advisory risk.

Our Risk Management Plan governs the identification, assessment, mitigation and monitoring of operational, compliance, information security, business continuity, and advisory risks. The plan is reviewed at least annually and supports our obligations under the FAIS Act, the Financial Sector Regulation Act, and the Protection of Personal Information Act.

Protection of Personal Information (POPIA) Notice

How we lawfully collect, process, store, and protect your personal information.

We process personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA). We collect information directly from you for the purpose of providing financial advice and intermediary services, meeting our regulatory obligations (including FICA), and administering your portfolio. Personal information is stored securely, access is restricted to authorised personnel, and information is retained only for as long as required by law. You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

PAIA Manual

Manual prepared in terms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2 of 2000.

Our manual prepared in accordance with section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2 of 2000 (PAIA) sets out the records held by Solomon Wealth Management and the procedure to request access to such records. A copy of the PAIA Manual is available on request and free of charge.

Complaints Resolution Policy

How to lodge a complaint and how we handle and resolve complaints fairly and promptly.

If you are not satisfied with any aspect of our service, please submit your complaint in writing to our office. We will acknowledge receipt within five business days and aim to resolve all complaints within six weeks. If the matter is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may refer the complaint to the Office of the FAIS Ombud at info@faisombud.co.za or +27 (0)12 762 5000.
